How To Make Green Tea

Green tea is one of the healthiest drinks and amazingly it has many good qualities for the smooth functioning of our body. It is advisable to drink at least three to five cups of green tea everyday. It is believed that green tea originated in China. It helps in weight reduction and helps our body to rebuild the cells. It is believed that green tea is highly rich in antioxidants and prevents cancer and helps heart patients in lowering blood pressure.
It is a wonderful beverage which is a favorite among those who are looking to reduce fat in their body.

How To Prepare Green Tea

It takes only about ten minutes to prepare this.

Ingredients For Green Tea


  • Water -  1 cup
  • Green tea leaves - 1 small tsp ( roughly around 5 grams )
  • Honey - 1 tsp
  • Lemon - half tsp


Method To Make Green Tea


  • Heat one cup of water in a vessel.
  • Remember to switch off the flame, before the water reaches the boiling point.
  • Now add green tea leaves, close the lid and let it stay there for three to four minutes.
  • Strain it and transfer it to a cup.
  • Finally add lemon juice and honey.
  • Mix it well.

Your nutritious green tea is ready to be served.!!!

  1. See to it that the tea leaves are strained within three to four minutes or else the green tea may turn bitter.
  2. Instead of tea leaves you can also use tea dips which is available commonly in markets.
  3. Instead of honey you can also add half tsp sugar but honey is more healthier option.
  4. Do Not Add Milk to the green tea.
  5. You can also add one of two mint leaves for a slightly different flavor.
