Vegetarian Tomato Omelette

Posted by Veena Karanth at 09:27:00
Tomato omelette is a traditional south Indian recipe and it is a delicious way to start your day. It is a purely vegetarian dish prepared without using any egg. Here I have used chick flour ( besan ) as a main ingredient. It tastes best when it is hot and the omelettes are indeed very fluffy to look at.

Kitchen Masti Points.

  1. As far as possible, try to use well ripened tomatoes that are very juicy.
  2. You can add 1 chopped garlic but it is optional.
  3. See to it that you do not spread the batter too much or else, the omelette will turn out too crispy.
  4. You can eat this omelette either with tomato sauce or coconut chutney.
  5. See to it that the omelette batter is not too watery.
