Rava Holige is a sweet dish prepared on some special occasions like weddings, festivals, or during a significant pooja. Basically, it is a sweet chapathi prepared out of semolina. Here, we prepare a dough out of maida flour and another stuffing using semolina and sugar. Later on, semolina-filling is stuffed inside maida puri and roasted on a medium heat. Different types of holige are prepared like coconut holige, dal holige, which is  popularly known as puran poli in Maharastra. The procedure is mentioned below.

  1. The quantity of the ghee can be increased for a richer taste.
  2. See to it that the rava is fried well , or else, it may lead to the formation of lumps when the water is added.
  3. Soaking the maida dough in oil is very important or else, you may end up in preparing hard holige.
