Baby Corn Fritters Recipe

Baby corn fritters is a relishing snack which tantalises our tasting buds. Baby corn fritters can be prepared in a variety of ways. Here, in this recipe, baby corn is dipped in a batter and then deep fried in oil. It tastes very awesome and spicy too.

How To Prepare Baby Corn Fritters.

This recipe requires around 30 minutes  for marinating the babycorn and another 15 minutes for deep frying it.

Ingredients For Baby Corn Fritters.

For Marination.
  • Chat Masala powder - 2 tsp.
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp.
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Red chilli powder - 2 tsp.
  • Olive oil - 1 tbsp.
  • Coriander leaves - 2 sprogs.
  • Amchur powder ( Dry Mango Powder ) - 1/4 tsp.

For The Batter.


  • Maida ( all purpose flour ) - 1 cup.
  • Corn flour - 2 tbsp.
  • Salt - 1 tsp.
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp.
  • Soya sauce - 1/2 tsp.
  • Red chilli paste - 1 tbsp.
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp.
  • Oil - for deep frying.

Method To Make Baby corn Fritters.


  • Take a big mixing bowl.
  • Add the chaat Masala powder, salt, pepper powder, olive oil, red chilli powder, chopped coriander leaves, and amchur powder to it.
  • Slit the baby corn pieces lengthwise into 2 pieces and mix it with the marinated ingredients.
  • Leave it aside for around 30 minutes.
  • In the meantime take another bowl.
  • Add maida, cornflour, salt, red chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, soya source, baking soda.
  • Mix in required quantity of water and prepare the batter.
  • Heat oil in a deep curved pan or a Kadai.
  • Dip the baby corn pieces in the batter and deep fry it till it turns crispy.
  • Now remove it from the frying pan on an absorbent tissue paper to remove the excess oil.
Your spicy and hot baby corn fritters are ready to be served.!!!

Kitchen Masti  Points.


  1. Slit the baby corn into 2 pieces only if it is thick. If they are slender then you need not slit it.
  2. You can mix 1 tbsp of rice flour instead of cornflour.
  3. You can omit red chilli paste and add red chilli powder instead of it.
  4. Red chilli powder can be used according to your taste. If you prefer for less spiciness, reduce the quantity.
  5. This can be consumed along with tomato sauce.
  6. See to it that the batter is not too watery in texture.
